Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Common Ground: Facilitated Team Experiences (“Common Ground”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to clients (“you”, “your”).
By engaging Common Ground to deliver services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Services
Common Ground provides facilitated team workshops, including strengths-based sessions using the CliftonStrengths framework.
Workshops are typically delivered in person within Queensland, Australia, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Bookings and Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once:

the scope of the workshop is agreed; and
-
written confirmation is received via email or signed agreement.
We may require confirmation of participant numbers and logistics prior to the workshop.
4. Fees and Payment
Fees will be outlined in a written proposal or quote.
Unless otherwise agreed:
-
invoices must be paid within the timeframe specified on the invoice
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a workshop:
-
More than 14 days notice: no cancellation fee
-
7-13 days notice: up to 50% of the agreed fee may be charged
-
Less than 7 days notice: up to 100% of the agreed fee may be charged
We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule where possible.
Additional Sessions for Absent Participants:
Where participants are unable to attend the scheduled workshop, Common Ground may offer a one-hour make-up session to cover key concepts and individual strengths insights.
Make-up sessions are:
-
subject to availability
-
delivered separately from the main workshop
-
charged at Common Ground’s standard hourly rate
-
required to be booked and paid in advance
These sessions are optional and can be arranged upon request.
If Common Ground needs to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer an alternative date.
6. Participant Requirements
Participants are expected to:

complete any pre-work (such as the CliftonStrengths assessment) prior to the workshop
-
attend in a professional and respectful manner
Common Ground is not responsible for the quality of outcomes where participants have not completed required preparation.
7. Nature of Services
Our workshops are designed to provide facilitated insight, reflection, and practical tools to improve team understanding and collaboration.
They do not constitute:
-
psychological counselling
-
therapeutic services
-
legal, financial, or organisational consulting advice
Outcomes will vary depending on the team, participation, and context.
8. CliftonStrengths and Gallup Disclaimer
Common Ground uses the CliftonStrengths framework as part of its workshops.
Gallup®, CliftonStrengths®, and each of the 34 CliftonStrengths theme names are trademarks of Gallup, Inc.
Common Ground is an independent provider. The information, facilitation, and materials provided by Common Ground:

have not been approved, endorsed, or certified by Gallup, Inc.; and
-
are not affiliated with Gallup beyond the use of its publicly available assessment framework.
Participants are responsible for completing the CliftonStrengths assessment through authorised Gallup channels.
9. Intellectual Property
All workshop materials, content, and facilitation methods remain the intellectual property of Common Ground unless otherwise agreed.
Materials provided during workshops are for internal use only and must not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written consent.
10. Confidentiality
We respect the confidentiality of participants and organisations.
Common Ground will not disclose confidential information shared during workshops, except where required by law.
Participants are encouraged to respect the confidentiality of discussions within the workshop.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and applicable Queensland laws):

Common Ground is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of its services

liability is limited to the value of the services provided
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
12. Workplace Health and Safety
For in-person workshops, the client is responsible for providing a safe and suitable environment for participants and facilitators, in accordance with Queensland workplace health and safety requirements.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
14. Changes to Terms
Common Ground may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website.
